On the top story 11th floor looking down on Hakodate you'll find the grand bath "Unkai". Enjoy the spectacular night views and vivid ridge lines of the Hakodate area as soak away the cares of the day. In addition, with the prominent use of granite throughout, light coming in from large transom windows above spreads and brightens the entire bath.

Shirasunazen

Offering healthy seafood dishes, Shirasunazen features a wide variety of the freshest seafood from the waters of the Tsugaru Straight for a taste only found here. Savor the flavor of such carefully prepared dishes as ika soumen - a Hakodate favorite and produced locally for local consumption with crystal clear squid cut vertically long and eaten like noodles.

Shirakabazen

Specializing in hearty meals Shirakabazen is recommended for those uncomfortable with raw seafood. Enjoy dishes with such ingredients as beef, chicken, duck and more.

Lobby

A space comprising 1,000 square meters and the largest of any hotel in southern Hokkaido, granite and carpeting throughout are symbolic of the graceful calm of the Takuboku Tei lobby. Moreover, via a 40 meter long automatically opening glass panel, the lobby looks out on the famous Matsuoka Japanese garden, a well preserved part of Hakodate's long and distinguished history. The pines and azaleas of the garden have been here for 100 or more years and as such, are designated as protected plants by the City of Hakodate.

Access

Exit the Hokkaido Expressway at the Yakumo Interchange and head south toward Hakodate on National Route 5. Once in Hakodate, turn left on National Route 278 and head east to the Yunokawa hot spring resort area. Time required from Sapporo: approx. 5 hrs 30 min.
